Location - Saratoga Springs, NY
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse for a night-shift travel assignment in an acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, proficiency in electronic charting, and experience caring for a telemetry patient population.
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms accurately
Administer medications and manage telemetry-related treatments
Identify and respond appropriately to cardiac and neurological emergencies
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records
Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
Active New York State RN license (must be in hand)
Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
At least 1 year of current experience with a telemetry patient population
BLS Certification (required)
ACLS Certification (required)
Must successfully pass a hospital-proctored cardiac rhythm interpretation exam, including:
≥80% accuracy in rhythm identification
100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms
Epic charting experience required
Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:4–5
Flu vaccination or approved exemption
Experience with critical drips
CVA/stroke care experience
Strong telemetry monitoring and intervention skills
Night Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts
Weekends and holidays as required based on unit needs
