Location - Saratoga Springs, NY
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in labor management, operative deliveries, and newborn stabilization, with the ability to support nursery care when required.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients
Circulate during cesarean section procedures
Assist with vaginal and operative deliveries
Perform immediate newborn care and stabilization
Provide nursery care, including continued monitoring until transport when necessary
Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams
Active New York State RN license (must be in hand)
Minimum 3+ years of recent Labor & Delivery clinical experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Experience circulating cesarean sections
Comfortable with newborn care, including:
Catching deliveries
Initial stabilization
Nursery care until transport if required
BLS Certification (current)
NRP Certification (current)
Fetal Monitoring Certification obtained within the last two (2) years
Must meet travel eligibility requirements
Geographic restrictions apply for local candidates
Candidates must reside outside restricted counties to qualify as travelers
Day Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts
Weekends and holidays as required by unit needs
