Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5×8)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Hourly Rate: $51/hr
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,040
Weekly Stipend: $1,120
A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical services by maintaining a safe, sterile operating environment and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Prepare and set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized
Stock and organize surgical supplies and instruments
Maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical cases
Assist surgeons and surgical team by passing instruments and supplies
Perform and document surgical counts (sponges, instruments, sharps)
Prepare patients for surgery, including skin preparation and draping
Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs to ensure workflow efficiency
Monitor and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgery
Assist with room turnover and post-procedure cleanup
Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Experience working in an operating room or surgical services setting
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
