Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location: New York, NY 10016
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Shift: Day | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
          Night | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $65 – $70 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry for an exciting job in New York, NY.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience

  • 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

  • 2 years of conscious sedation experience

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program (required)

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and telemetry data

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

  • Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required

  • Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards

  • Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to medical emergencies

  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and quality standards
