Location: Bronx, NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week
Hours per Week: 34.5
Pay Rate (Local): $68 – $71 per hour (Maximum)


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry for a 14-week night-shift contract assignment at a large acute care hospital in the Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience

  • At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

  • At least 2 years of conscious sedation experience

  • Ability to work independently and manage patient care during night shifts in an acute care environment


Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program


Certifications & Licensure

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Primary Source Verification of RN license via NYSED

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

  • AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients

  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify and respond to changes in patient condition

  • Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy as required

  • Assist with conscious sedation procedures when applicable

  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and quality improvement guidelines
