A educational institution is seeking a dedicated and dependable High School Teacher Assistant to support classroom instruction and help maintain a positive, structured learning environment. This role involves working closely with certified teachers to support students academically, behaviorally, and socially while ensuring a safe and productive classroom experience.
Support teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
Help manage classroom behavior and ensure adherence to school policies
Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and classroom resources
Monitor students during class transitions, lunch periods, and other school activities
Provide support to students with special educational needs as required
Maintain accurate student records and uphold confidentiality at all times
Assist with grading, filing, and clerical tasks as assigned
Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Prior experience working with adolescents or in an educational setting (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructional guidance and classroom procedures
Patience, professionalism, and a student-centered approach
Ability to pass background checks and meet school district compliance requirements
Experience in a high school or secondary education environment
Familiarity with classroom technology and digital learning platforms
Ability to support diverse learners and classroom needs
Basic clerical and organizational skills
School-based high school classroom setting
Requires standing, walking, and active student engagement throughout the day
