Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Contract

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:

  • Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a family care clinic setting. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves working closely with providers to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinic setting (Family Practice, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine)

  • Experience working with pediatric patients

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws


Licenses & Certifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – required

  • BLS / BCLS (Basic Life Support / Basic Cardiac Life Support) – required


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary patient assessments, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medications, and chief complaints

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits

  • Administer medications and vaccines via oral, injection, topical, ophthalmic, rectal, and inhalant routes as ordered

  • Draw and process blood samples; prepare specimens for laboratory testing

  • Perform routine clinical procedures, including EKGs as required

  • Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion

  • Accurately document patient information, test results, and clinical findings in the medical record

  • Communicate care plans and test results to patients as directed by providers

  • Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments; maintain organized and stocked exam rooms

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards

  • Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

  • Assist with front-office duties as needed and perform other assigned tasks
