Job Title: Software Developer 2 (Network Architecture Focus)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Software Developer / Network Architect to support enterprise modernization and cloud transformation initiatives. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient hybrid network architectures, integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience analyzing business and technical requirements, evaluating system feasibility, and delivering robust network solutions that align with organizational standards and long-term growth strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives, user requirements, and existing systems to recommend technical solutions

  • Perform feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and impact assessments for system enhancements

  • Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures, integrating on-premises data centers with cloud services

  • Develop secure, high-performance network designs that meet compliance, governance, and availability requirements

  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support system migrations and optimization efforts

  • Establish and maintain network governance standards, best practices, and architectural documentation

  • Ensure proper routing, segmentation, firewall policies, and security controls are implemented

  • Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for mission-critical systems

  • Evaluate system capabilities, constraints, and scheduling limitations for proposed changes


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in network architecture across cloud and on-premises environments

  • Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), network segmentation, and firewall technologies

  • Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPNs, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateways

  • In-depth knowledge of network security principles, including encryption, identity management, and compliance frameworks

  • Proven experience designing high-availability, load balancing, and failover architectures

  • Experience with network automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible

  • Familiarity with CI/CD integration for infrastructure and network deployments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-cloud networking (e.g., Azure, GCP) and cloud-native networking services

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and advanced security models

  • Exposure to SD-WAN technologies and network observability tools (NetFlow, CloudWatch, Prometheus)

  • Understanding of cloud network cost optimization strategies

  • Relevant certifications such as:

    • AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty

    • Cisco CCNP / CCIE

    • Azure Network Engineer Associate
