Location: South Riding, VA
Contract Duration: 22 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM
Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated SPED ECSE Lead Teacher to lead a behavior-focused, self-contained early childhood classroom serving children ages 3–5 with developmental delays and behavioral needs. This role requires strong classroom leadership, hands-on behavior management experience, and formal training in behavior intervention strategies. The ideal candidate will create a structured, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes positive outcomes for students.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead teacher in a behavior-focused, self-contained ECSE classroom

  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with a strong emphasis on behavioral supports

  • Design and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction and targeted interventions

  • Implement, monitor, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and positive behavior strategies

  • Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines, structure, and expectations

  • Supervise and support paraprofessionals and classroom support staff

  • Collaborate with behavior specialists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with educational standards

  • Communicate effectively with families and school-based teams


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field

  • Valid state-issued SPED ECSE teaching certification/license

  • Required: Prior experience and formal training in behavior management

  • Experience working in behavior self-contained classrooms strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of PBIS, ABA strategies, or other evidence-based behavior support frameworks

  • Strong classroom leadership, organizational, and communication skills
