Job Title: Sterile Processing Coordinator

Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Contract-to-Perm)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Work Type: Local Candidates Only
Pay Rate: $33/hr
Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Coordinator to oversee daily sterile processing operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This role provides hands-on leadership to sterile processing staff and ensures the proper reprocessing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily sterile processing operations and technician workflows
Ensure proper cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments
Maintain compliance with infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and regulatory standards
Provide staff guidance, training, and performance support
Monitor quality assurance, workflow efficiency, and documentation
Coordinate with clinical teams to support surgical services
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience
At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role (healthcare or manufacturing)
Strong knowledge of sterilization processes, infection control, and regulatory standards
Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience with surgical instruments and medical device reprocessing
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and timekeeping systems
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
College degree or 3+ years of leadership experience (Preferred)
Certifications:
CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Required)
CIS – Certified Instrument Specialist (Preferred)
HSPA-CHL – Healthcare Leadership Certification (Preferred)
