Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours

Location: Syracuse, NY
Seeking experienced night-shift Registered Nurses for a high-volume Adult Emergency Department, with exposure to pediatric patients as required. This position is local rate only.
Candidates must have prior experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers and be proficient in managing a wide range of emergent conditions. EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience is required.
Shifts will be scheduled 19:00–07:30, including every other weekend and some holidays. Requests for fixed schedules or excessive time off will not be approved.
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New York
BLS certification (must be current and eligible for recertification)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Department or acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
Candidates must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
Adult and Pediatric ER experience required
EPIC EMR experience required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigation
No prior involvement as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check
Perform rapid and comprehensive nursing assessments in the Emergency Department
Deliver high-quality patient care across varying acuity levels with minimal supervision
Manage emergency interventions for adult and pediatric patients
Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary emergency care teams
Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards
