Position Title: CT Scan Technologist – Contract (Local or Travel)
Location: Hackensack, NJ (07601)
Shift: Evening | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Duration: 13-week assignment
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hour
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technologist will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to radiation safety standards while providing compassionate care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT examinations.
Administer contrast media when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment and related workstations.
Follow radiation safety practices for patients, staff, and self.
Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission.
Document procedures, contrast usage, and patient information accurately in EMR (EPIC preferred).
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and trauma cases.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
Adhere to hospital, state, and federal regulations and policies.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Perform other related CT and imaging duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience.
Experience performing contrast and non-contrast CT studies.
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and radiation safety.
EMR documentation experience (EPIC preferred).
Preferred Experience:
Hospital or acute-care CT experience.
Trauma or emergency department CT experience.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT (R)(CT) certification.
Active New Jersey state licensure (if required).
BLS (AHA).
