Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float)
Location: Falmouth, MA
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day/Night – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60 – $65 per hour


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float assignment. The RN will coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patients and families through education and clinical leadership. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.


Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience

  • Travel nursing experience preferred

  • Ability to perform own phlebotomy

  • Strong IV therapy experience required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Active Massachusetts RN License

  • BLS Certification (required)

  • Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module

  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam


Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process

  • Administer medications safely and according to best practices

  • Monitor and manage patients on telemetry

  • Provide care to post-operative and orthopedic patients

  • Manage IV therapy, chest drainage devices, and epidural analgesia

  • Recognize and respond to emergency and urgent situations

  • Perform patient and family education effectively

  • Document care accurately using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

  • Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect in accordance with law

  • Provide pain management and end-of-life care as appropriate

  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and professional standards

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

  • Perform age-specific care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
