Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) – Travel Assignment Only

Shift: Day Shift – 5×8-Hour Days
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Schedule flexibility required)
Pay Rate: $40 – $50 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at an outpatient imaging facility in Rochester, NY. This day-shift position focuses on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to a diverse outpatient population, including both pediatric and adult patients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency in general diagnostic radiography, experience working with PACS, and a commitment to patient safety, infection control, and quality care. Flexibility to float to nearby affiliated locations is required based on operational needs.
Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
Provide imaging services to adult and pediatric outpatient populations
Conduct a broad range of general radiographic exams, including:
Thoracic and abdominal studies (e.g., routine chest, KUB)
Skeletal and extremity imaging (upper and lower, including joints)
Spine and pelvis imaging
Head and neck exams (e.g., skull, facial bones, orbits, TMJs)
Utilize PACS efficiently for image acquisition, processing, and review
Maintain strict adherence to infection control policies and isolation precautions
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout procedures
Float to nearby affiliated outpatient locations as required
Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licensure & Certifications
Current ARRT (R) certification required
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Experience & Skills
Prior experience in an adult and pediatric outpatient imaging environment strongly preferred
Demonstrated competency in general diagnostic radiography
Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and best practices
Ability to adapt to varying workflows and locations
