Position Title: MRI Technologist

Schedule: 2x7.5-hour shifts
Local Pay Range: $65–$70/hour
Travel Pay Range: $70–$77/hour
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate ensures patient safety, applies advanced technical judgment, and adheres to departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards while producing accurate MRI images.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols
Position patients and MRI coils accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Educate patients on MRI procedures, expectations, and safety requirements
Review and verify patient MRI safety questionnaires prior to scan room entry
Ensure all MRI images are correctly labeled and transmitted to PACS promptly
Complete and track studies accurately in Radiology Information System (IDX)
Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat scans as necessary
Maintain cleanliness of MRI rooms and equipment at the start and end of shifts
Scan and manage patient-related documentation
Maintain adequate supplies and accessories required for imaging procedures
Accurately record patient tracking and scheduling information in IDX
Notify supervisors of equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions
Assist physicians during procedures as required
Adhere strictly to MRI safety standards to prevent ferromagnetic incidents
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Attend in-service training and professional development sessions
Maintain active licensure and certifications in compliance with public health regulations
Perform related clerical and support duties as needed
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital setting
Strong background in MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging techniques
Education:
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.–approved Radiologic Technology program
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
ARRT MRI Registry
BCLS certification
