Job Title: Sterile Processing Production Technician

Schedule:

  • Full-Time

  • 40 hours per week

  • 8 hours per day

  • 5 days per week

Please note that these roles are initially 13 week contract and then it might turn into a permanent role.


Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Production Technician supports daily Sterile Processing Department (SPD) operations with a focus on loaner and consignment tray handling, production workflow, documentation, and quality assurance. This role works closely with the Production Coordinator and SPD leadership to ensure instruments are accurately processed, tracked, and delivered on schedule in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Loaner & Consignment Tray Support

  • Receive and inspect incoming loaner and consignment trays for accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist with verifying tray contents before and after sterilization per established standards.

  • Partner with the Production Coordinator and SPD leadership to track trays throughout the sterilization and return cycle.

  • Communicate promptly with vendors and team members to ensure trays are processed on schedule.

Production Workflow & Instrument Flow

  • Support daily production workflows by helping prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines.

  • Identify and escalate issues related to tray contents, timing, or documentation discrepancies.

  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces to support department efficiency.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with the Production Coordinator, SPD leadership, and SPD team members regarding priorities and progress.

  • Assist with vendor coordination, delivery confirmations, and required documentation.

  • Represent the organization with professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Accurately record data in instrument tracking and documentation systems.

  • Support quality assurance efforts by adhering to internal policies and external regulatory standards.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement related to accuracy, turnaround time, or communication.


What You Will Deliver

  • Accurate and consistent handling of loaner and consignment trays.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Sterile Processing experience, including loaner and consignment trays.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.

  • Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and documentation processes.

  • Team-oriented, proactive mindset with a positive attitude.


Education & Certifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Certifications:

  • CRCST or CSPDT certification (required)
