Urgent Hiring: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
Location: Bronx, NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Travel Pay: $2,897.50 per week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is urgently seeking highly skilled and compassionate Travel ICU Registered Nurses to support a high-acuity Med/Surg ICU/CCU unit experiencing increased patient census. This assignment is ideal for experienced critical care nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments, are confident working night shifts, and have strong hands-on expertise in conscious sedation, IV insertion, and complex patient monitoring.
The ICU RN will play a critical role in delivering safe, evidence-based care to critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a Med/Surg ICU/CCU setting
Continuously assess patient conditions, monitor hemodynamics, and document vital signs and clinical changes
Safely administer conscious sedation, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure monitoring
Perform IV insertions, venipuncture, and phlebotomy as required
Administer medications, IV drips, and blood products per physician orders and hospital protocols
Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilators (as applicable)
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or medical emergencies
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines
Critical Care: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (Med/Surg ICU or CCU preferred)
Conscious Sedation: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience
IV/Phlebotomy: Minimum 2 years of experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Licensure: Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Verification: Primary Source Verification (PSV) through NYSED is required
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) – Current
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Current
