Estimated Weekly Pay (Travel): $1,350 – $1,500 (all-inclusive, based on experience and location)
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgical and clinical teams in an acute care environment. This role is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring compliance with national standards and infection prevention protocols.
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
Operate sterilization equipment, including:
Autoclaves
Washer–disinfectors
Ultrasonic cleaners
Perform and document biological and chemical indicator testing
Maintain accurate sterilization logs and instrument tracking records
Organize, restock, and distribute sterile supplies to clinical departments
Adhere to strict infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with operating room and nursing staff to ensure timely instrument availability
Support efficient surgical workflows and patient safety initiatives
Minimum 1 year of recent Sterile Processing experience in a hospital or surgical services setting
Strong working knowledge of:
Surgical instrument identification
Sterilization techniques
Infection prevention and control standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA)
BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)
