Job Description – Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Bedford, TX

Position Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN) is responsible for performing high-quality obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations in a women’s health clinic setting. This role supports physicians by providing accurate diagnostic images and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.

  • Conduct transabdominal and endovaginal scans with proper positioning and measurement techniques.

  • Evaluate and document normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy.

  • Perform fetal anatomy scans, biophysical profiles, and gestational age assessments.

  • Identify fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies and other high-risk conditions.

  • Ensure accurate imaging across all three trimesters of pregnancy.

  • Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout procedures.

  • Capture and transfer images to PACS and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support patient care and workflow.

Patient Volume

  • Approximately 1–15 patients per day

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification – required.

  • Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience within the last 3 years.

  • Proven experience performing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms.

  • Strong knowledge of fetal development, anatomy, and pregnancy progression.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic environment.

  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient-care skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Women’s health clinic or outpatient OB-GYN experience.

  • Experience working in a travel or contract role.
