Physical Therapist (PT) 

Location: Across NM State 
Employment Type: Contract / Travel 

Position Summary 

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services across multiple locations throughout New Mexico. Assignments may include outpatient therapy, inpatient hospitals, SNFs, home health programs, or school settings. The ideal clinician is adaptable, clinically strong, and committed to patient-centered care. 

Responsibilities 

• Perform detailed evaluations for patients with diverse physical, neurological, and mobility challenges 

• Create customized treatment plans to enhance functional independence 

• Deliver therapeutic activities such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and patient instruction 

• Track progress and revise care plans as clinically appropriate 

• Document therapy services in compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines 

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams 

• Provide patient and caregiver education to support ongoing home-based progress 

• Maintain exceptional care standards while floating between multiple care environments 

• Travel between assigned facilities across New Mexico 

Required Qualifications 

• Active or eligible New Mexico PT license 

• Accredited Physical Therapy degree (DPT or MSPT) 

• At least 1 year of recent experience in outpatient, acute care, SNF, home health, or inpatient rehab 

• AHA BLS certification 

• Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to varied clinical settings 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Background in multiple care settings 

• Excellent organizational and communication skills 

• Previous travel or float role experience 

• Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred
