Location: Frankfort, KY
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
Salary: $110,552 – $176,883 (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000
Annual Incentive Bonus: 17.5% – 26.25%
The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for leading all operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This includes oversight of staffing, clinical quality, throughput, budget management, compliance, and team development.
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred: Master’s degree (MSN, MBA, or MHA)
Required: Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in an Emergency Department or related acute care unit
Preferred: 3+ years of leadership experience in a similar or larger ED
Must Have: Proven record of achieving strong performance metrics and operational results
Ensure efficient patient flow and volume forecasting.
Oversee admission and discharge processes.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including Trauma readiness.
Promote patient safety using evidence-based practices.
Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative work culture.
Support employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Identify training needs and provide coaching and mentoring.
Manage staffing, scheduling, position control, and productivity.
Lead initiatives to improve patient experience scores.
Manage operating expenses, supply use, and budget planning.
Work with leadership to grow and enhance services to increase volume.
