Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Murphy, NC
Type: Contract | 15 Weeks
Pay Rate: $24/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Murphy, NC.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients in a friendly, professional manner
• Schedule appointments, manage phone inquiries, and support front desk operations
• Accurately take and document patient vitals
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
• Administer vaccines and perform EKGs
• Conduct point-of-care (POC) testing
• Assist with back-office clinical procedures as needed
• Support daily clinic flow and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
• EMR system experience required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient education and community outreach
• Current BLS or CPR certification required
