Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Hamilton, VA
Duration: 27 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $27/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver high-quality, one-on-one behavioral support to children and adolescents. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT will implement individualized treatment plans, support behavior intervention strategies, and promote meaningful skill development across educational and therapeutic settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized treatment plans.

  • Implement reinforcement systems, skill-building programs, and behavior intervention strategies.

  • Support development of communication, social, academic, adaptive, and daily living skills.

  • Collect accurate, real-time data on behaviors and skill acquisition.

  • Assist with behavior reduction strategies while maintaining a safe, positive environment.

  • Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, therapists, and caregivers to ensure consistent support across settings.

  • Communicate observations, progress, and challenges to supervising clinicians.

  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, safety standards, and confidentiality protocols.

  • Perform other related duties as needed to support program operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities.

  • Understanding of ABA principles, data collection methods, and behavior management strategies.

  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow structured treatment plans and adapt to changing client needs.

  • Physical ability to assist clients during sessions when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in school-based, clinical, or in-home ABA programs.

  • Familiarity with electronic data-tracking systems or EHR platforms.

  • Educational background in psychology, education, special education, or related fields.
