Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitative care within a skilled nursing environment. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patient mobility, functional improvement, and recovery goals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
Assist in delivering treatment programs designed to restore strength, coordination, and independence.
Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Support patients with safe use of assistive devices and educate them on proper techniques.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in care planning, progress reviews, and team meetings as needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to support positive outcomes.
Follow all state, federal, and facility policies and therapy protocols.
Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state.
Previous experience in a SNF, rehab, or similar setting preferred.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work a full schedule across all days (Sun–Sat) as required.
Ability to lift, assist, and support patients safely during therapy sessions.
