Job Title: Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher
Location: Sterling, VA
Duration: 34 Weeks
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:15 PM
Pay: $1,800/week
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities. The teacher will deliver individualized and small-group instruction, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to support each child’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction to early childhood students with special needs in alignment with IEP goals.
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans addressing cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other service providers.
Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEP updates.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for home support.
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.
Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, or a related field.
Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education ECSE, or eligibility to obtain.
Experience working with preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of early childhood development and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Patience, flexibility, and commitment to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
