Job Title: Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher
Location: Sterling, VA
Duration: 34 Weeks
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:15 PM
Pay: $1,800/week

Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education Early Childhood (SPED ECSE) Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities. The teacher will deliver individualized and small-group instruction, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to support each child’s growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to early childhood students with special needs in alignment with IEP goals.

  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans addressing cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other service providers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEP updates.

  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for home support.

  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, or a related field.

  • Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education ECSE, or eligibility to obtain.

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.

  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and evidence-based instructional strategies.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Patience, flexibility, and commitment to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
