Position Title: RN – OB / LDRP (Labor and Delivery)
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts or single shift
Pay Range: $60–$65 hourly
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking RN – OB / LDRP (Labor and Delivery) for an exciting job in Cooperstown, NY.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
Monitor maternal and fetal status using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety.
Assist with Caesarean births in the operating room as part of the designated team.
Provide care for newborns, including those in the special care nursery.
Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge instructions.
Accurately document all patient care according to facility standards and regulatory requirements.
Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and escalate as necessary.
Adapt to fluctuating unit volumes and support staff, particularly new graduates requiring guidance.
Work scheduled shifts, including participation in required holiday rotations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Preferred: 3+ years of obstetric nursing experience.
Certifications (Required):
BLS
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in LDRP nursing, including labor support, postpartum care, and newborn assessments.
Ability to work independently in a mixed-experience unit environment.
Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
