Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Travel Assignment)

Hours: 36 hours/week | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse for a travel assignment. The RN will be responsible for comprehensive patient care, supporting physicians, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. This role requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Evaluate patients and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality care
Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Prioritize patient care through ongoing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care across assigned patients
Document all care accurately following professional standards and clinical priorities
Support evidence-based practice and innovative care delivery
Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models
Additional duties as assigned
Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience required
Strong clinical skills including:
Patient assessment
EKG interpretation / cardiac rhythm analysis
Hemodynamic monitoring
IV therapy & insertion
Medication administration
Wound care
Patient & family education
Knowledge of inpatient hospice
Critical thinking & problem-solving
Strong communication & teamwork
Attention to detail
Ability to remain composed under pressure
Compassion, empathy, and adaptability
Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN
Required:
NJ Registered Nurse License (or Compact License)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
NIHSS
CEU: Stroke (4 Hours)
Shift: Nights
Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holidays: As needed
On-Call: None
Float: As needed
