Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nursing Support (1:1)
Location: Aldie, VA
Shifts Available: Monday–Friday | 08:50 AM – 04:30 PM
Pay Rate: $35/hr
Contract Length: 29 Weeks
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nursing Support for an exciting Travel or Local job in Aldie, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Continuous seizure monitoring; administer seizure first aid and rescue medication as needed
• Support mobility including two-person lifts and wheelchair safety
• Assist with ADLs including toileting, positioning, hygiene, and classroom transitions
• Provide supervised oral feeding; monitor for pocketing and choking risks
• Maintain required school health records and follow the student’s care plan
• Serve as an advocate for the student’s health needs across school settings
• Communicate health concerns promptly to parents, school nurse, and administration
Required Qualifications:
• Active LPN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Experience with seizure disorders and administration of rescue medications
• Ability to perform safe patient handling and lifting
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior pediatric, school nursing, or 1:1 care experience
• Knowledge of feeding precautions and aspiration/choking protocols
• Experience supporting students with non-verbal communication needs
