Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Autism
Location: Ashburn, VA
Shifts Available: Days (Mon–Fri), 08:50 AM – 03:40 PM
Pay Rate: $45/hr
Contract Length: 35 Weeks
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Special Education Teacher – Autism for an exciting Travel or Local job in Ashburn, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver daily instruction using evidence-based autism teaching strategies
Implement and monitor IEP goals and behavior plans
Support communication development, including AAC when needed
Adapt curriculum and learning materials to meet individual student needs
Maintain a safe, structured, and sensory-friendly classroom environment
Collaborate with school staff and actively participate in IEP meetings
Required Qualifications:
Active Special Education teaching license (or eligibility)
Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder preferred
Proficiency in structured teaching, visual supports, and behavior management strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to fostering student independence, growth, and positive behavior
