Job Title: X-Ray Technologist (ARRT R) – Contract Assignment
Location: Potsdam, NY 13676
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (5×8s)
Weekends: Rotating—typically every 4th weekend
Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
Pay Range: $45–$60/hr
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment at a busy radiology department in Potsdam, NY. This role supports inpatient, outpatient, and emergency imaging needs in a Level III trauma environment. The technologist will work with FUJI fluoroscopy units, portable systems, U-arm equipment, general x-ray rooms, and C-arms for OR imaging.
Perform general diagnostic x-ray exams for both adult and pediatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
Operate fluoroscopy systems (FUJI), Konica Minolta U-arm, Siemens C-arms, and portable imaging units.
Provide intraoperative imaging support for various C-arm procedures.
Conduct fluoroscopic studies including UGI, SBFT, barium swallow/enema, joint injections, and myelograms.
Manage and prioritize workflow in a high-volume Level III Trauma environment.
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety standards, infection control protocols, and patient confidentiality.
Accurately document imaging studies in EPIC and manage images via PACS.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams.
ARRT (R) certification
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License
BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience
Experience in trauma imaging, fluoroscopy, and OR C-arm procedures
Strong proficiency in general imaging (chest, abdomen, extremities, spine, skull, facial bones, etc.)
Familiarity with PACS, EPIC, and Pyxis workflows
First-time travelers are welcome.
Local candidates are not accepted (must reside 50+ miles from the facility).
