A federal technical assistance program supporting global economic initiatives is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support to both headquarters staff and internationally deployed personnel. This role delivers hands-on and remote support across hardware, software, networking, Microsoft 365 administration, and secure government IT systems.
This is a mission-critical role requiring strong Microsoft 365 expertise, advanced troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to operate within a secure federal IT environment.
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support to domestic and international staff
Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues
Deliver full lifecycle support for laptops, mobile devices & peripherals
Provide remote support using enterprise-grade remote access tools
Support hybrid and remote environments across multiple time zones
Administer Microsoft 365 hybrid environments
Manage Entra ID / Azure AD, SSO, and MFA
Support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
Manage user accounts, permissions, provisioning & deactivation
Adhere to federal cybersecurity, governance & compliance frameworks
Support cyber hygiene initiatives and compliance assessments
Assist with DLP controls and secure access practices
Handle controlled and sensitive information responsibly
Maintain asset inventory for global staff
Deploy, repair, track, and recover IT equipment
Manage logistics and lifecycle replacements
Support conference room IT, A/V systems, and collaboration tech
Install, configure, and support:
Adobe applications
Power BI
Power Automate
Planner
Visio
Project
Troubleshoot licensing, access, and performance issues.
7+ years of professional IT support experience
Strong expertise with:
Microsoft 365 hybrid environments
Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, SSO
Advanced Windows OS troubleshooting
Laptop/mobile device support
Experience supporting:
Exchange Online
Teams
SharePoint
OneDrive
Proficiency with remote support tools (Remote Desktop, Teams, Zoom)
Solid understanding of cloud security & compliance practices
Experience supporting globally distributed staff
Strong communication & documentation skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize under deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field
Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL) preferred
Full-time onsite position at Washington, DC headquarters
Daily engagement with users across global time zones
Flexibility to address urgent issues as needed
Handling sensitive government data and systems
Must adhere to federal IT security and governance policies
Must meet federal suitability requirements to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check
Must pass a federal background investigation before start
Must maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance standards
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. in order to meet government clearance requirements
