Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Urgent Need

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
We are urgently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support a post-acute rehabilitation environment. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapeutic care in a fast-paced setting serving adult and geriatric populations.
Carry out physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.
Facilitate therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
Document daily treatments, patient progress, and clinical observations in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Assist in developing functional goals and modifying activities based on patient response and safety.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and mobility techniques.
Communicate effectively with PTs, nursing, OT/SLP, and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Maintain adherence to professional, ethical, and state licensure standards.
Active PTA license (state-specific).
Experience in skilled nursing, geriatric rehab, or post-acute care strongly preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently while following PT guidance.
