Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Urgent Need

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
We are urgently seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a post-acute rehabilitation environment. The ideal clinician will work closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered therapeutic services to adult and geriatric populations.
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an OT.
Provide therapeutic interventions focused on ADLs, functional mobility, upper-extremity strengthening, and cognitive engagement.
Document patient progress, daily treatments, and observations in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Assist in developing functional goals and adjusting care plans based on patient response.
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive equipment, and functional strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Maintain professional and ethical practice consistent with licensure and rehabilitation guidelines.
Active state COTA license.
Experience in skilled nursing, geriatric rehab, or post-acute care preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to follow OT treatment plans effectively and work independently.
