Job Title: Patient Care Associate (Contract)
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:15 PM)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Pay Rate: $18–$21/hr
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nurses and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Specialty Service unit. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living needs, performing basic clinical tasks, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Obtain/document vital signs and pain levels.
Assist with ADLs: bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and orientation.
Perform specimen collection, venipuncture, EKGs, compression device setup, and skin integrity care.
Support dietary needs and conduct purposeful rounding.
Follow isolation precautions and provide 1:1 safety observation when needed.
Maintain clean and safe patient rooms; report equipment or facility issues.
Respond to call lights, assist visitors, answer phones, and support patient communication.
Transport patients, specimens, and unit materials as required.
Assist with unit clean-ups, discharge preparation, supplies, and equipment care.
Complete required documentation and additional assigned tasks.
