Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel/Contract Assignment

Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
Contract Length: 14 Weeks
Location: Pittsfield, MA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time contract assignment within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. The OT will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic care aimed at improving functional independence, mobility, and quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents to determine functional status, therapy needs, and individualized goals.

  • Develop, implement, and update patient-centered treatment plans in accordance with clinical standards.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions focused on improving ADLs, strength, mobility, cognition, and functional skills.

  • Document all evaluations, progress notes, treatments, and discharge summaries accurately and on time.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including PT, SLP, nursing, and social services.

  • Educate residents and families on treatment goals, safety protocols, and home exercise programs.

  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to patient outcome improvement.

  • Maintain therapy equipment, ensure safe working environment, and comply with regulatory standards.

  • Perform additional clinical duties as required by facility leadership.

Requirements

  • Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of assignment.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or similar setting preferred.

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.

  • Must pass required background checks and health screenings.
