The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct one-on-one behavioral intervention services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT supports children and individuals with developmental, behavioral, or communication needs in home, school, or clinical settings.
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA.
Accurately collect, record, and report data on client behavior, progress, and session outcomes.
Teach communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Manage, redirect, and appropriately respond to challenging behaviors using approved behavior intervention strategies.
Support clients across designated environments such as home, school, or clinic.
Maintain consistent communication with supervisors, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team regarding client performance and updates.
Protect client privacy and follow all ethical, professional, and confidentiality guidelines.
Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, supervision, and team meetings as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Ability to follow behavior plans, take direction, and maintain accurate documentation.
Strong communication, patience, and observational skills.
Ability to work with children and individuals with developmental or behavioral needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field.
Prior experience in ABA therapy or working with children with developmental disabilities.
Experience working in home, school, or clinical environments.
