Location: Ithaca, NY
Contract Duration: 13-week
Shift: Nights | 3×12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36 hours
A skilled Medical Unit Registered Nurse is needed for a night-shift assignment at a healthcare organization in Ithaca, NY. The RN will deliver high-quality inpatient care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and float to appropriate units as needed.
Provide direct nursing care to adult and/or geriatric patients on the Medical Unit
Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document accurately in Epic EMR
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols
Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and support staff
Maintain patient safety and quality standards at all times
Float to other units within RN scope of practice when required
Uphold infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Active RN license (state-appropriate)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Medical/Surgical or similar inpatient experience
Epic EMR experience required
Ability and willingness to float to other inpatient units as needed
Must be able to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
