Radiation Therapist – Contract

Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $40 – $42 per hour
Notes: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy and an active New York State License required. Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Radiation Therapist – Contract for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and established protocols.
Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment to ensure precise treatment delivery.
Review and verify treatment plans, patient charts, and imaging prior to each session.
Monitor patients for treatment reactions and report concerns to the interdisciplinary care team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR and treatment record systems.
Follow all radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines to protect patients and staff.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Perform daily equipment checks and promptly report any operational issues.
Provide patient education, reassurance, and support throughout the course of therapy.
Active New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy.
ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
BLS Certification (AHA required).
Minimum 2 years of recent radiation therapy experience.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety, treatment planning concepts, and oncology patient care.
Proficiency with EMR and radiation therapy systems (e.g., ARIA, MOSAIQ).
Excellent communication, technical, and patient-care skills.
