Location: Houston, TX
The Epic Application Analyst supports and enhances the functionality of enterprise Information Systems with expertise in Epic applications. Responsibilities include analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of assigned Epic modules, ensuring seamless integration with organizational workflows and optimal operational performance. The role provides ongoing consultation, problem-solving, collaboration, and end-user support, while also contributing to project work, training efforts, and continuous system improvement. This position typically reports to an Information Systems leadership role.
Associate degree preferred
Epic Certification required
2 years of related experience in healthcare, education, or technology (required)
3 years of progressive experience in corporate systems development, healthcare MIS, or similar system analysis roles (preferred)
Experience with Epic or other EHR systems (preferred)
Working knowledge of Epic support methodologies, build, testing, and development tools
Strong analytical and technical aptitude
Solid planning and organizational skills
Effective communication, collaboration, and customer service abilities
Understanding of large and complex Information Systems within a corporate environment
Translate customer requirements into Epic and other application specifications
Analyze workflows and recommend application-based solutions
Utilize system development tools to build queries, simple applications, and reports
Develop and deploy moderately complex business solutions within Epic and integrated systems
Maintain detailed technical knowledge of assigned applications
Ensure application functionality and configuration integrity
Assist end-users in maximizing the use of Epic applications
Participate in rotating after-hours on-call support
Provide troubleshooting, guidance, and workflow optimization
Collaborate on project tasks with moderate supervision
Prioritize assignments, address technical questions, and support system integrations
Identify system issues; escalate appropriately to team leads or management
Develop and recommend solutions to operational or technical challenges
Deliver training, system support, and customer service to end-users
Communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical settings
Foster positive working relationships with stakeholders
Participate in ongoing professional development and competency training
Support organizational goals and departmental initiatives
Maintain compliance with organizational standards related to quality, productivity, and service
