Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract role in a skilled nursing facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitative care focused on improving functional independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Deliver therapeutic interventions according to the established plan of care.
Assist in implementing treatment strategies that promote strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
Document patient treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with professional and facility standards.
Support the Occupational Therapist in updating care plans based on patient progress.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe practices and home exercise programs.
Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment.
Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Prior experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehab preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
