Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment at a reputable skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will support rehabilitation services by delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions according to the established plan of care.
Assist in developing and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical observations.
Document patient treatments, responses, and progress according to professional and facility standards.
Maintain clear communication with supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team members.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility techniques and home exercise programs.
Ensure therapy equipment is used properly, safely, and maintained when necessary.
Participate in discharge planning and work collaboratively to support patient outcomes.
Uphold ethical standards and comply with state and federal regulations related to therapy services.
Active PTA license in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain).
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or similar rehabilitative setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehab team.
