Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU
Location: Ithaca, NY
Shift: Nights | 3×12-hour shifts per week
Schedule: 36 hours/week
RTO: Maximum of 7 days or less
A healthcare facility in Ithaca, NY is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join its critical care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-acuity patient care, demonstrate strong critical-thinking skills, and maintain adaptability while floating to additional units as needed.
Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and provide advanced clinical interventions.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement care plans.
Float to Med-Surg (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) units as needed.
Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (ICU float ratios typically 1:5 on MS/Tele units).
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
Epic EMR experience required.
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a hospital of comparable size and trauma level.
Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to safely care for patients across ICU, MS, and Telemetry units.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact, as applicable).
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required
