Cedar Ridge Skowhegan is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, follow established clinical standards, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and wellbeing.
Deliver safe and effective nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document clinical findings accurately.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper patient response and safety.
Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide patient and family education related to care plans, treatments, and facility procedures.
Maintain detailed and timely patient documentation in the EMR system.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate updates to the clinical team.
Uphold infection control standards, safety practices, and hygiene protocols.
Support discharge planning and patient transitions as needed.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Active RN license in the state of Maine (or compact state eligibility).
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience; long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred.
Current BLS certification (AHA preferred).
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently.
