Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract Assignment (13 Weeks)

Position Overview

Cedar Ridge Skowhegan is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, follow established clinical standards, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document clinical findings accurately.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper patient response and safety.

  • Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Provide patient and family education related to care plans, treatments, and facility procedures.

  • Maintain detailed and timely patient documentation in the EMR system.

  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate updates to the clinical team.

  • Uphold infection control standards, safety practices, and hygiene protocols.

  • Support discharge planning and patient transitions as needed.

  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of Maine (or compact state eligibility).

  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience; long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred.

  • Current BLS certification (AHA preferred).

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently.
