We are seeking an experienced and dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a day-shift contract role within a skilled nursing and post-acute care environment. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering resident-centered therapy services aimed at improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans.
Perform therapeutic activities to promote functional independence in ADLs and mobility.
Utilize approved modalities and adaptive equipment per established guidelines.
Observe and record patient progress, reporting changes or concerns to the OT.
Support interdisciplinary collaboration with nursing, therapy, and care staff.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Contribute to a positive, compassionate, and patient-centered therapy environment.
Active COTA license in the state of assignment.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting preferred.
Ability to work a Sunday–Thursday schedule with rotating weekend requirements.
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
