Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to operate CT scanners and produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical competency, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce self to patient and verify patient identity (name & DOB).

  • Obtain and review pertinent patient history, current medications, documentation, and allergy information.

  • Explain procedures and answer questions to ensure patient understanding.

  • Maintain proactive, compassionate communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

  • Adhere to all facility policies, safety standards, and values.

  • Position patients, scan, and archive procedures following established CT protocols.

  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast media per protocol or physician direction; ensure proper labeling.

  • Prepare, administer, and document medications used during procedures.

  • Reconcile patient medications to prevent interactions with contrast media.

  • Assist coworkers across modalities when appropriate (IV starts, computer tasks, patient prep).

  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures when required.

  • Validate accuracy of physician orders and act accordingly.

  • Utilize radiation-reducing techniques while maintaining diagnostic image quality.

  • Protect patients and staff from radiation exposure; properly use and store dosimeters.

  • Safely assist with patient movement and fall-risk prevention.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, sterile techniques, and isolation protocols.

  • Competency in patient positioning and operation of CT/X-ray equipment.


Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of related CT technologist experience.


Education Requirements

  • Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.


Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT Certification

  • Ohio Radiographer License

  • BLS – American Heart Association
