Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED – Cross Categorical)
Location: Sterling, VA 20164
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: 1st Shift (8:50 AM – 3:40 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours/week
Contract Length: 31 weeks
Pay Rate: $35 – $40/hr
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Special Education Teacher (SPED – Cross Categorical) for an exciting job in Sterling, VA.
Provide instruction to students with varying disabilities in a cross-categorical classroom.
Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs that support student goals and progress.
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individualized learning needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning.
Assess and document student progress regularly.
Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with families and school administrators.
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and IEP team meetings.
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid state teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs (preferred).
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction.
