Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Opelousas, LA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ daily living skills, coordination, and mobility.

  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and exercises.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient recovery.

Skills

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols

  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow OT-directed treatment plans accurately

  • Attention to detail and adherence to clinical standards

Qualifications

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Required

  • Licensed or certified to practice in Louisiana – Required

  • 1–2 years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settingsRequired

  • BLS (American Heart Association) – Preferred
