Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical - RNMSNY

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical 
Location: Multiple Locations 
Type: Contract 
Pay Rate: $40 - $60/hour 

Position Overview:  

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg, Stroke, and Stepdown experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical/Surgical experience 

• Required experience in Stroke and Stepdown units 

• Must have documented prior travel experience 

• Required EMR: EPIC 

• Active RN license in Current State 

• Required: BLS (ACLS preferred) 

• Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and communication skills 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and Stroke Stepdown patients 

• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and complex clinical changes 

• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders 

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care 

• Assist with stroke protocols, rapid assessments, and emergent care when needed 

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC 

• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
