Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Meal Break: 30 minutes
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Guarantee: 35 hours
Schedule: Sunday – Saturday (7-day coverage rotation)

Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist will provide rehabilitative therapy services in a clinical or long-term care environment. The role focuses on improving patients’ functional abilities, safety, and independence through individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine functional status, therapy needs, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative therapy to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PTs, SLPs, nurses, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and ongoing functional strategies.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient progress discussions.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in skilled nursing, outpatient rehab, or similar settings preferred.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work a full 7-day rotating schedule as needed.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
