Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Care
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Shift: Days, 5×8 hours (08:00–16:30)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks

An Ambulatory Care department is seeking an experienced RN to support outpatient surgical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ambulatory and surgical care, specifically within burn, colorectal, thoracic, general surgery, and trauma specialties. This role requires excellent assessment skills, patient education abilities, and comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment. All candidates must be available to start on a Friday.
Provide nursing care and patient education within an ambulatory surgical setting
Support pre- and post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Assist with patient flow, clinical procedures, and follow-up care needs
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards
Ensure safe, patient-centered care in alignment with ambulatory best practices
Experience:
Background in ambulatory and surgical care
Experience in burn, colorectal, thoracic, general surgery, and trauma strongly preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse license (state or compact, as applicable)
BLS certification (AHA) typically required
Additional Details:
